Judges’ Comments

“This building was a revelation.  The level of thought and preparation for its future occupants inspired us.   The team worked closely with Papworth Hospital and the University to create a series of beautiful spaces, with the ability to evolve and adapt to new requirements.  The building is innovative, light-filled and offers generous views in all directions.  It is an elegant and clever model of a research-enabled future, and one we enjoyed seeing. We make special mention of its Project Manager, Tom Fenner, whose passion for the project inspired us.”
