Ed Hayden, Director and Felicity Meares, Associate at Scott Brownrigg will present a new addition to the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, on behalf of Liberty Property Trust, that has recently received planning consent.
The laboratory and office building will be fronted by a “red architectural tree” symbolising the coming together of science, discovery and architecture and will host public workspace and a public cafe, as well as offering office and lab space intended to be multi-let to encourage a creative working environment. The building’s public café and shared work areas will foster the vibrant buzz of social spaces associated with research collaboration and moments of serendipity
The innovative laboratory and office facility will be the second development in Phase 2 on the Biomedical campus.
Hear from Ed and Flic on how the design was shaped, a number of the unique features of the building and the general vision in the context of its place in the wider campus community.
