In November 2021, the UKGBC published ‘A Pathway to Net Zero for the UK Built Environment’ in response to the UK Government ‘Net Zero Strategy: Build Back Greener’.
Simon McWhirter from UKGBC will be presenting their pathway to Net Zero describing the measures in both operational and embodied carbon required as well as highlighting other measures that can be employed in building utilisation and design efficiencies.
The UKGBC proposals to regulate embodied by 2030 will be discussed by a representative from the London Energy Transformation Initiative (LETI). LETI has recently trail blazed in recognising the magnitude of embodied carbon in construction as well as setting 2030 targets.
