Teasels Biodiverse Design & Consultancy, specialists in designing biodiverse landscape schemes, invite you to a walking tour of two innovative, forward-thinking, and climate-resilient landscape projects in Cambridge.
Located in Abbey Ward, Cambridge, these schemes have been carefully designed to maximise wildlife and habitat creation while also providing valuable amenity space for the residents of Barnwell. The projects utilise novel planting techniques and take a progressive approach to urban greening.
The schemes prioritise native flora, including wildflowers and native shrubs, with a strong focus on habitat creation, while also ensuring a balance between ecological function and visual appeal. Designed to re-establish a natural ecological corridor, these projects contribute to local nature recovery.
Funded through a range of grants, the projects serve as exemplars of biodiversity-led public realm design.
This site tour offers a unique opportunity to explore the schemes and engage with Teasels’ principal, Daniel Lee, the contractor, and the client, Abbey People.
