Mill Lane – what next?
Once upon a time the popular Dojo’s noodle bar in Miller’s Yard (just off Mill Lane) was as busy as the Anchor and the Mill pub are today. It has been 6 years since the gates to Miller’s Yard closed and Cambridge lost one of its culinary gems.
Like much of central Cambridge the use of the site – bounded by Trumpington Street, the Mill pond, Silver Street and Little St Mary’s Lane – has evolved over centuries and it is no secret that the area would benefit from a re-think.
This talk is an opportunity to understand the drivers behind the Allies & Morrison masterplan as well as hear a more detailed insight from Haworth Tompkins and Max Fordham into the Pembroke proposals recently granted planning for the Southern half of the site.
