On Monday 11 March the CFCI is hosting a presentation from two of the regions leading interior design and fit out specialists, Eve Waldron Design and COEL who will be talking about recent projects and the role of the interior design in the built environment.
Eve Waldron’s education, commercial and residential design practice includes the award winning Entopia Building for the University of Cambridge, the Magdalene College Library and the new Lucy Cavendish student accommodation buildings. COEL has also been an award winning leader in the development of internal creative places including offices, laboratories and other facilities from including in Cambridge and Oxford.
Given the development of high quality office and working spaces across our region, the place for interior design and fit out has become all the more important.
COEL will be showcasing a project they undertook for Mishcon de Reya’s brief which was to create two distinct spaces; The first was to be a luxurious client area, with a dedicated entrance, to evoke the feeling of entering an exclusive club. A high level of finish and comfort dominates the client space. The second was for staff: a space focused on employee wellbeing and designed to work equally well for those who were permanently office-based, as for hybrid workers and visiting staff members.
They will also will take you through how they repurposed a disused warehouse space to labs for Sherlock Biosciences.
The evening will commence with a drinks reception at 6pm, followed by a further opportunity to mix with colleagues, Trustees and presenters following the meeting.
