This CFCI evening event will focus on the design of schools, with presentations from industry and the Department for Education (DfE).
The design of schools enhances educational outcomes as well as the communities that they serve. It is not easy to deliver this on the project budgets and timeframes available. Duncan Roberts from Frank Shaw Associates will present some recent and future Cambridgeshire School schemes.
The DfE have recently launched the GenZero initiative, an ambitious programme that paves the way for Net Zero Secondary Schools. Ian Naylor (DfE) will present 2 sample school designs and pioneering work on prototypes built and displayed at COP26. Innovative building elements, developed as part of the GenZero project, will also be presented – recently load tested in Cambridge University Engineering Department.
Pre-meeting drinks will commence at 6pm, with the presentation starting at 6.30pm. This will be followed by post drinks at 8pm, to give you time to network and discuss the presentation in more detail
