This webinar will cover the Government’s proposed changes to the Town Planning system, described in some quarters as potentially the most radical changes proposed since the advent of the Planning Acts in 1947. The focus will be on the potential impact on the construction sector which will need to adjust to new ways of thinking in bringing development proposals forward.  A central theme in the White paper is “Planning for beautiful and sustainable places” and the session will address what this might mean and how the Government hopes to achieve it.

Our speakers are:

Peter Studdert – Independent Planning Consultant, formerly Director of Planning at Cambridge City Council and specialising in design review services.

Zack Simons – Barrister from Landmark Chambers specialising on housing, infrastructure, commercial development, and compulsory purchase work.

The zoom webinar will be chaired by Colin Brown of CFCI
