Heating Swaffham Prior is a pioneering project to take a Cambridgeshire village off highly-polluting oil heating and onto a retrofit renewable energy system.
Thought to be the first multi ownership village retrofit heating scheme in England, hear how the project team, comprising village residents and Cambridgeshire County Council has worked up this proposal from initial concept to a planning application – submitted last week for a village scale ground and air source fuelled system.
Speakers include village residents Mike Barker (day job Head of Ecology at RPS), Emma Fletcher (CFCI Trustee and day job Director at Hill Group) together with Miles Messenger the lead design engineer from Bouygues.
